DevMarDe
The team

Not one person. A team, organised into three practices.

DevMarDe sells development, marketing and design as one engagement, which only works if the people doing them sit together. Here is who they are, which practice each one is accountable for, and what that practice has actually shipped.

The people

How the work divides

Three practices, who leads each one, and what it has shipped

Development

Web platforms, mobile apps, internal tools and the infrastructure under them.

Led by Ali Mehdi
  • Scoping sprints before a line is written
  • Next.js and React Native builds
  • Postgres and Supabase data modelling, row-level security included
  • Release pipelines, Play Store submissions, monitoring and the on-call rota
Marketing

Demand you can trace to an invoice, not to a dashboard.

Led by Zain Kazmi
  • Search, paid and content under one plan
  • Tracking wired to the CRM so an enquiry carries its source
  • AI visibility work from a Crawl Audit baseline
  • One weekly report with one number on it
Design

Visual and spatial design: brand, interiors and product UI, and the words inside them.

  • Spatial and interior design, drawn in 3D and agreed before anything is built
  • Identity and design tokens exported to code
  • Product UI designed on real screens, not moodboards
  • Component libraries with every state drawn
  • The copy in the product, in English, Urdu and Roman Urdu

Every engagement touches all three. Which one leads depends on the brief, and the lead changes during a project more often than not. A marketing problem that turns out to be a page-speed problem moves to development without a new contract.

How we staff a project

Small on purpose, and honest about it

The people who scope it build it

The scoping sprint is run by whoever will do the work, not by a salesperson who hands you over afterwards. Nothing is re-explained at kickoff.

One practice leads, the others sit in

A brief gets a lead from the practice it belongs to and standing input from the other two, so a design decision that breaks a build is caught in the week it is made.

We say when we are the wrong team

If a brief needs a headcount we do not have, we say so in the first call rather than subcontracting it and marking it up.

Where we work in the open

Everything below opens something that exists and can be checked without asking us.

Work with the people who build it.

Every engagement starts with a two-week scoping sprint at a fixed price, run by the people who will do the work.
