The company
- What does DevMarDe actually do?
- Development, marketing and design for SMB and enterprise clients, billed by one company on one invoice. We also build and run five products of our own: Aqua Core OS, Inventorini, Wattwise, Vital Track and Our Homes.
- How is the name pronounced?
- Dev-Mar-Dee. It is development, marketing and design joined up, which is also the order we tend to work in.
- Who is behind DevMarDe?
- A team organised into three standing practices (development, marketing and design), each with a named person accountable for it. Zain Kazmi founded the company, is its director, and leads marketing, design and the writing; Ali Mehdi leads engineering. Both have profiles you can read, and both are reachable directly.
- Who builds and supports the apps?
- The same team that does the client work. Every one of our products carries the credit "A DevMarDe product", and every one of them is designed, built and supported in-house. Nothing is resold, white-labelled or handed to a third party after launch.
- How does an engagement start?
- With a two-week scoping sprint at a fixed price. You get a written plan, an estimate for phase one and a staging URL. If you decide not to continue, the plan is yours to take elsewhere.
- Who owns the code and the accounts?
- You do, from day one. Repositories, cloud projects and ad accounts are created under your organisation rather than ours, so nothing has to be migrated if you leave.
- What is the $7.89 audit?
- Crawl Audit, a tool rather than a manual service. It crawls your site as GPTBot, PerplexityBot and ClaudeBot. A free run scores 25 signals; the paid report scores 200 and gives you the code to paste. One flat charge, no subscription.
- Do you lock clients into long contracts?
- No. Retainers stop with 30 days notice and there is no annual commitment on anything we run for you. Media spend is billed to your own accounts, not through us.
- Where are you and what hours do you work?
- Headquartered in Birmingham, UK | Islamabad and Lahore, PK | New Jersey, USA | Dubai, UAE, serving globally. Engineering and design sit in Lahore; the Birmingham, New Jersey and Dubai offices cover the rest of the working day, so there is overlap with your afternoon wherever you are.
- How quickly do you reply?
- Within one business day on every enquiry, including the ones that turn out not to be a fit. If a $7.89 audit answers your question instead of a project, we will say so.
- Where are you based?
- Headquartered in Birmingham, UK | Islamabad and Lahore, PK | New Jersey, USA | Dubai, UAE, serving globally. Engineering and design sit in Lahore; the other offices overlap your working day.
- Do you work with clients outside Pakistan?
- Yes, and most client work is outside it. Offices in Birmingham, New Jersey and Dubai cover the rest of the working day, and invoices can be issued in your own currency.
Aqua Core OS
- What does the bottle balance actually count?
- Nineteen-litre bottles that left on a delivery and have not come back as empties, added to whatever the customer already owed you when you started. It is tracked separately from cash, because the two are chased differently.
- Can a driver record a delivery with no internet?
- Yes. It queues on the phone and syncs by itself when the phone is back on a network. Nothing is lost and nothing is entered twice.
- How does a customer pay, and when does the ledger move?
- Easypaisa, JazzCash, bank transfer, or cash to the driver. Digital payments are submitted with a reference ID and sit as pending until a manager verifies them, so a balance only moves on money somebody has confirmed arrived.
- What happens when a customer owes too much?
- Each account carries a debt threshold: Rs 5,000 for a household and Rs 25,000 for a corporate account by default, editable per customer. Past it, that customer cannot place another order until they pay it down.
- Can we bring our existing customer book in?
- Yes, and you should. Onboarding loads your customers with their current cash and bottle balances as opening figures, so the ledger is right from the first delivery.
- Does each plant see the other plants?
- No. Each plant is its own tenant. Only a super admin sees across plants, and that is where the six-month profit comparison lives.
- Is there an iPhone app?
- Not yet. The Android app is on Google Play, and the web app installs and works in any phone browser, including Safari on iPhone.
- Where do backups go, and how many are kept?
- A Google Drive folder you own and share with the app, written to nightly. Five are kept on a rolling policy: one monthly, one weekly and three daily.
- What does it cost?
- Rs 1,480 to Rs 2,480 per plant per month depending on plant size, with the trial length set when your plant is created, fifteen days by default.
Inventorini
- What counts as an entry in the free plan?
- A billable write: stock in, a sale, a bill, opening or packing a carton, or an audit. A bill, an Excel import and an audit each count as one no matter how many lines they contain. Reads, settings changes and storefront edits are free.
- What happens when the free plan ends?
- New entries stop and the app offers the paid plan. Nothing is deleted and everything stays readable. Subscribe and you carry on from where you were. The app warns you once you have used 160 of your 200 entries rather than at the wall.
- Can I sell in pieces from a sealed carton?
- Yes. Open the carton in the app, the pieces enter loose stock, and the carton count drops by one. The total never drifts.
- Can it stop staff selling too cheap?
- It warns them. Price a line below what that stock cost and the bill flags it as you write it, with the cost shown. It does not block the sale, since sometimes you do mean it, but nobody does it by accident.
- Can it keep my udhaar khata?
- Yes. Save each customer by name, with a mobile number if you want one. When you make a bill, write the customer's name and what they paid now; the rest goes on their khata. Old udhaar from your paper register can be added as an opening amount. Each customer's khata shows every bill, payment and old udhaar with the balance, and if someone pays more than they owe, the extra stays as advance. Only the owner can remove a wrong payment or old-udhaar entry, and bill entries stay with their bill.
- Does the storefront cost extra?
- No. It is included, and the orders come to your own WhatsApp number. We do not take a cut of anything sold through it, and the storefront never shows your stock quantities.
- Does the app show ads?
- No, on any plan. Ads were removed rather than tuned: at local banner rates a few hundred free shops would have earned less than one subscription, in exchange for a Contains ads label on a billing app.
- Do staff need their own logins?
- They can have them. The owner login sees everything; staff logins are scoped to counter work. A PIN reset signs every other device out.
- Is there an iPhone app?
- The web app installs on iPhone from Safari and works offline once installed. The native build is Android.
Wattwise
- Is Wattwise free?
- Yes. It is free with ads, the same way most apps are, and one small payment removes the ads for life. Nothing else sits behind that payment: every preset, every tool, the solar payback and the PDF report are all in the free app.
- What does the ad-free purchase cost?
- It is priced by region through Google Play, in 173 countries: around $4.99 in higher-income markets, $1.99 in the middle tier and about $1 everywhere else, charged in your local currency. For example $4.99 in the US, £4.49 in the UK, R$9.99 in Brazil, ₹110 in India and Rs 270 in Pakistan. One payment, not a subscription.
- When can I download it?
- Now. Wattwise is on Google Play for Android, published as dev.wattwise.app, and the button on this page opens the listing.
- Can it tell me before my bill jumps a slab?
- Yes, that is what Slab Guard is for. Enter your tariff's slabs once and it projects this month's units from your appliances, shows how close you are to the next slab and what crossing it would cost.
- Does Wattwise read my meter?
- No, you do. Type in one meter reading and Meter check shows the range the meter should be in on any later day. If the real meter is well outside it, something is missing from your list, left on, leaking or the meter is fast.
- Do I need an account?
- No. There is no sign-up and no login. Your appliance list, tariff and every calculation stay on your phone, and the calculations work without an internet connection. The only thing that uses the internet is the ads.
- How accurate is the estimate?
- It is arithmetic on the numbers you give it: wattage, hours, duty cycle, standby draw, your tariff and its taxes and fees. The solar figures are annual averages for your country rather than a forecast for your roof.
- Which currencies does it support?
- Forty, shown with their ISO codes (USD, PKR, INR, EUR and so on). Switch currency and your rates convert with it.
- Is there an iPhone version?
- Not yet. Wattwise is on Android, published as dev.wattwise.app.
Vital Track
- Is Vital Track free?
- Yes. Every health feature is free and nothing is locked. The free version shows a few non-personalised ads to cover running costs. A supporter plan, about $1 a month or $4.99 once for life, removes them; Google Play sets the local price.
- Who can see my readings?
- Only you. Vital Track has no server, so readings never pass through anything DevMarDe runs. They stay on your phone, and if you sign in with Google, in a spreadsheet called My_Health_Records_VitalTrack in your own Google Drive. They are never sold, shared or used for advertising.
- Do I need an account?
- No. You can start logging straight away and it works fully offline. Google sign-in is optional and only needed for the backup to your own Google Sheet.
- Can I keep readings for my parents on my phone?
- Yes. Keep separate diaries for yourself, Mom and Dad on one phone and switch between them from the top of every screen.
- Does it give medical advice?
- No. Vital Track is a personal record-keeping utility and does not provide medical advice or diagnosis. The colours and sentences follow published AHA and ADA guideline ranges, and are there to help you notice a reading worth raising with a qualified physician.
- How do I delete my data?
- In the app, Settings → Delete everything on this phone, or uninstall it. If you signed in, also delete the My_Health_Records_VitalTrack sheet from your Google Drive. We hold no copy. The full steps are on our data-deletion page.
- Where can I download it?
- On Google Play, for Android. The Google Play button on this page goes straight to the listing.
Our Homes
- Who is Our Homes for?
- Shared-custody parents counting overnights, people with a work flat in the week and a family home at weekends (Germany's doppelte Haushaltsführung), second-home and holiday-home owners, couples living apart, and anyone who has to keep track of their days per place.
- Do I have to log every day?
- No. Tap the day you arrive somewhere and pick the home. Every day after that counts for that home until your next switch.
- Does it track my location?
- No. There is no GPS and no location permission. You mark the switch yourself.
- What does Pro add, and what does it cost?
- Up to eight homes instead of two, no ads, PDF and CSV reports, and the home-screen widget. Pro is a monthly subscription you can cancel at any time, and Google Play shows the price in your currency.
- Where is my data kept?
- Only on your phone. There is no account and DevMarDe keeps no copy. Backups are files you save yourself, for example to Google Drive, and delete yourself.
- Which languages does it speak?
- 22 languages, among them English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian, in light and dark mode.
- Where can I download it?
- On Google Play, for Android 8.0 and later. The Google Play button on this page goes straight to the listing. An iPhone version is planned.
Services and engagements
- Do you take over existing codebases?
- Yes. The scoping sprint starts with a written assessment of what is there, what we would keep and what we would replace.
- Who owns the code?
- You do, from the first commit. Repositories and cloud accounts are created under your organisation.
- Do you build mobile apps?
- Yes. React Native and Expo for Android and iOS. Our own Aqua Core OS app is on Google Play.
- Do you handle media spend?
- We run the accounts. Spend is billed to your card by the platforms, so there is no markup and no lock-in.
- What is GEO?
- Generative engine optimisation: the technical and content work that makes AI assistants cite you when they answer a question in your category.
- How soon do results show?
- Paid shows within days. Search and AI visibility move over one to three months. We report both weekly either way.
- Do you do logos only?
- Rarely. A mark without a system drifts within months. The brand sprint produces the mark and the rules together.
- Can you work inside our existing design system?
- Yes. The audit step tells you what to keep. We extend rather than replace where that is honest.
- Do you build what you design?
- Usually. Development is one of our three pillars, so the same team ships it.
- Is the audit manual?
- No. Crawl Audit is a tool. You enter a domain and it runs. Nobody reviews it by hand.
- Do I need the service if I run the audit?
- Not necessarily. Many teams fix the findings themselves with the free generators. The service is for teams who would rather we did it.
- How is this different from SEO?
- It overlaps. Search engines and assistants both read your site; assistants additionally weight entity records, answer structure and freshness.
